Dr. Jana Starkweather

Jana Starkweather, LAc, MTCM, DACM

Dr. Jana (YAH-nah) holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine 

and a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, 

where she also completed specialty training in Trauma, Orthopedics, and Five Element Acupuncture. 

She earned her B.S. in Microbiology with High Honors and Distinction in the Major from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

She is a Licensed Acupuncturist in California and Georgia and a board-certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbalism through the NCCAOM. 

Dr. Jana is also NADA-certified and has worked in rehabilitation settings supporting recovery from addiction. 

Her clinical focus includes fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care, supported by advanced training in obstetrics. 

More recently, she has expanded her work into Functional Medicine and blood chemistry analysis to better address root causes of illness and support prevention.

Dr. Jana believes that meaningful healing happens when patients are actively engaged in their own health. 

She partners with each patient to understand their goals and challenges, creating a collaborative and individualized approach to care. 

While she treats a wide range of conditions, she has particular expertise in pain management, trauma and orthopedics, addiction recovery, and emotional well-being.
